I installed a new p4p800 deluxe with a p4 2.6 800, 512 mb crucial and a new 400 watt ps. I have tried 3 seperate video cards including a new PNY geforce fx 5200, I have also tried 2 different monitors and all mobo power connectors are hooked up.

The system starts up, green light is on, fans run but no signal is getting to the monitor.

Has anyone else heard of this problem? I think I may have to return something.

Thanks, Justin.

it doesnt sound like a problem with you monitor or video cards, its probably something in the boot sequence, what version of BIOS do you have? also are you using the analog or the DVI connectors on you video card? what kind of monitors are you using? does it seem to still start the computer and just not see anything? is this an up grade or a system just put together? what kind of PS are u using?

This is an upgrade to an old computer but the only not new parts are the drives, I bought a new 400w switching ps, motherboard, pny g-force 5200, 512mb 3200mhz crucial and a p4 800fsb 2.6.

I have the VGA cord plugged into the VGA Connector.

The system powers up and by the sound it seems to be booting.

I am using the factory installed BIOS

Try reseating the CPU (you'll have to reapply thermal paste to the heatsink).
