No USB 2.0 listed after GA-K8NF-9 setup

Please check your Universal Serial Bus controller Under Windows Devcie Manager. I don't have a listing for a USB 2.0 Root Hub Device. I used the express install from the Gygabyte CD-ROM which had the nVidia USB 2.0 Driver listed and checked. All four selections were automatically checked like that listed on page 47 of the manual. Note the caution listed on page 47. Did anyone do that? I'm not sure if I should re-load the nVidia USB 2.0 drivers of delete everything from the device manager and have Windows reload.

This is correct.

If you don't have a listing with a ? in device manager, make sure the BIOS is set to allow USB 2.0

Okay things have changed since I last built a machine. I have the on-Chip USB set to [V1.1+V2.0] in the Integrated Peripherals in the CMOS BIOS. There is no "X" or "?" listed in the Device Manager. I expected a USB 2.0 Host Controller and USB 2.0 Root Hub listed in the Device manager under the Unviversal Serial Bus Controllers. What I have listed is this:

Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
USB Mass Storage Device
USB Mass Storage Device
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub

You can identify whether your PC has Hi-Speed or not relatively easy. Open Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus section. There should be an "Enhanced" USB host controller present.

Windows 98 systems may use a different name, because Hi-Speed USB drivers in these operating systems are not provided directly from Microsoft (Windows ME, 2000 and XP get their drivers through Windows Update).

These drivers are provided by the manufacturer, and may carry the maker?s name (i.e. ADS, Belkin, IOGear, Siig, etc.). There should also be two ?standard? version USB host controllers present as well. They are embedded in the USB chip which routes the differing USB speeds accordingly without user intervention.

There are currently 6 manufacturers of the Hi-Speed USB host silicon themselves:

Any other brand name that appears in Device Manager would likely be an add-in Hi-Speed USB PCI card. The makers above do not make add-in cards, but they do make the chips that are used in them."

Another piece of evidence seen was when using Sandra's Ports Information. I wouldn't have seen 480 Mb/sec listed here for USB Port 3.
