If there is no unnecessary travel, then you can't travel from work to home.

Yeah I'm looking at the doppler radar right now... big white blob hovering over the buffalo area heading east. For me, looks like I'll be getting green blob aka depressing cold rain.

Kinda the same happened here. They predicted 3-5" so I was expecting more that a little slush on just the sidestreets - my commute was pretty smooth. Nothing worse than a hyped-up no-show snowstorm. Maybe you'll get the brunt of it Mosh! :)

Hey mosh!

We are getting heavy stuff here in the Southern Tier now (BIG flakes!) Only predicting 2-4 inches, but it may be heavy for a while ;)

Still lake effect? I thought that eventually there was enough ice to prevent that...

Anyway, the drive on I86 (southern tier of NY) was the worst I've experienced in 5 years of driving from Olean to Cuba. 1 inch of slush and ice... Almost like freezing rain conditions. I almost wrecked twice (lost control twice, but regained control) - hit the slush just right and it throws you.

This was the 2nd time I've had to drive below 55 in the last 5 winters... I had to go just over 30 mph the last 3 or 4 miles. It's letting up now.. beautiful outside, all the trees are completely white with heavy snow on the branches. Probably got 4 inches of heavy snow in the last 4 hours.

Hmmmm... it's so beautiful out I think I'll go kayaking after school :)
