no TV sound with AIW 9600 & SB Audigy

I just got an AIW 9600, but i can't get sound while watching TV on it. I've connected the correct cables, and install the latest drivers for both sound card (SB Audigy) and video card, as well as MMC 9.0. Finally i was able to hear sound from tv last night, but it is very bad, and this morning i get no sound while playing dvd using windows media

system specs:
windows XP sp1
2.4 P4
asus Mobo (forget the model, I think its p4b 266c)

does anyone know a work around for this, or we should just get another sound card

1. Check the creative volume control panel and make sure the inputs are not muted or turned all the way down.
2. Which input did you plug the AIW sound output cable into, mic or line in? Mic sounds awful, but line-in is much better.
3. When going through the TV initialization what did you select as the source? What-U-hear or line-in/aux-in/...?

Since your DVD's are not playing very well either, it may be the sound card.

I check the volume control panel and all the inputs are not muted or turned down
I try both mic and line in, mic actually was better than line in for me.
i selected line-in/aux-in/

My dvd (as well as everything)use to play just fine before the AIW install. too bad i don't have another sound card on hand to test.

a year ago, I had an AIW 128 installed on a dual amd computer with build-in sound, and that sounded much better than this combo. I want to keep this setup, I might just have to get up early in the morning to give ATI support a phone call
