Hey!

I am trying to use TV-out via the S-video output on my SLI-enabled system. Is there no way to use TV-out when SLI is enabled at all? Do I have to go into driver options, disable SLI and restart my computer every time I am going to use my tv?

BTW my Tv only has RCA-in, so I am using an adapter from S-video---> RCA too.

Thanks for a fast respsonse :)

Yeah - I actually have a TV-tuner card but I dont have it installed. Even though it is a clever solution that the spaces between my two 6800GT's is larger on the A8N SLI Deluxe, it alse poses a problem for PCI-cards.

There are 3 PCI slot available. One of them is occupied by my Audigy 2 card, one of them I cant use since the card will come so close to the 2nd GPU card so that there will be little or no air circualtion. I have tried it, and my Vid card in slot 2 overheated while playing games. The last option avaiable for me is the 3rd and last PCI-slot. When I was using that before it was sharing IRQ's with the 6800's resulting in some anomalies. I will try disabling my RAID array that I dont use yet, and disable my 2nd GB LAN - maybe that will free up some IRQ's for me.

Are there any other solutions? Is it impossible to use TV-out hooked up directly to cards running in SLI?

I don't see how your tuner card would help anyway as those are for reciving TV signals, not outputing to your TV. As for the s-video out not working in SLI, I never thought of that but it makes sense as the TV-out works basicly like a second monitor out and you can only use one monitor in SLI.

Yeah...I knew about the one monitor thing, but still think its kinda strange you cont use TV-out with overlay with it. :(
