No tuner, so what is there besides Pandora?

There are times when I would like to listen to talk radio or NPR/PRI, rather than music.
The only radio I have these days is in my car.

1. Are there internet versions of these stations?

2. Can they be accessed through some Blu-ray players? I can get YouTube, Pandora, Netflix, HuLu, VuDu, and a few others on my Blu-ray.

Yeah, they're on the net. But I don't know if TuneIn or some equivalent exists for Blu-Ray players as it does for smartphones. It's on the WDTV Live anyway... I'd check the specs on your player to see if there's a similar app.

I know my old denon you can add pretty much any .mp3 streaming based station, but you have to do it through an online service (I'm sure this has changed on newer versions).

Most NPR stations will be streaming. I know Minnesota Public Radio streams like 6 or 7 different stations in a few formats.

App support is going to be key trying to do this with a bluray player. I know a few companies made internet radio "tuners" in like 2009 that would support the various types of internet stations, but you would most likely be better served by something like a WDTV.

WDTV, as I said, though I think you have to do most of the setup in your profile via web/phone.

Samsung and LG seem to have a similar vTuner app for their AV devices. Maybe other brands too.
