No surround sound when playing audio CD in Winamp.....need help

I remember having to mess around with settings in the past to get my four=point surround sound to work when playing an audio cd in winamp. I am playing the cd from a drive with a digital audio hookup and I amusing Winamp version 2.80 and windows xp pro. How can I get my surround to work? Thanks

Look to your soundcards speaker setup. If you are using a Live or Audigy, enable CMSS, else check out your souncards manual.

Where do I enable CMSS? (I do have a 5.1 Live card)
