W10, all updates. I'm using a Logitech trackball, and when I set the speed and motion just as I like it, it won't stay that way at the next startup. There's no option in Logitech's software, that says, "start with windows". I went to Task Manager, and opened Startup, and it was completely empty, with the message, "There are no startup items to display".

I then went to PC Settings>Apps>Startup, and it was empty. How can this be?

Win10 Pro here and my startup list is populated including the Logitech G Hub app. In its setting it has an option to start after logging in.

I wonder if you have a security app blocking your startup items.

How old is the mouse? If it's old enough, it may not work with Windows. If it incredibly new, SetPoint may not work with it (Logitch has newer software, such as G Hub).

Alternate proposal - remove the Logitech software you have and use Windows mouse settings for fine tuning.

It's a trackball, with Logitech's latest software. I've customized the 4 buttons. The button customization stays on startup, but the speed and motion doesn't, MOST of the time. Not a major issue.

But is it Setpoint? In the version I'm running it has two checkmark boxes to choose, use setpoint or use the OS to control the (mouse in this case).

The use setpoint option. It should have set itself to start with windows. Maybe just reinstall it? If you have some kind of anti-malware or security suite software running, disable that in case it's preventing setpoint from making itself start on every windows boot when it installs.
