No Sound!

I am completely stuck. I have a gigabyte 7vm400m-rz mobo with onboard sound and graphics. My graphics are working fine along with the rest of the set up I have going except the sound. I am trying to get sound from my speakers but none is coming out. I know its not the speakers and I have checked for prob's using "run: dxdiag" and no erors come up when I run a check in the sound tab, except for one which occurs when I selected that I did not hear a sound. I then went to the help tab and went through the windows help file taking me through tons of reasons for there being no sound and I have tried and checked all - to no avail. Can anyone help me? Thanks...

did you install drivers?

is there a exclamation mark in the device manager for your sound?

No to both. What drivers are there to install? I think I have installed everything that was on the disk provided, I will check. Any other ideas....

do you have front audio connections on your case that you hooked to the mobo?

they can cause the audio outputs in the back not to work on some boards...

So I heard so I took them out. Still no sound. I put the header things on aswell. I believe it is a foault with the board, so I decided that it was easyer just to get a dead cheap sound cars, andy you know of? Thanks,
