No sound when playing dvd on computer

onboard sound: install motherboard chipset drivers

sound card: install drivers and go to sound control panel and make sure your sound card is selected as the primary device. then go to advanced options in your media player and do the same.

thanks for the reply. the dvd sound was working fine. it just started happening this week. it is onboard soundcard so i'll see if i can reinstall drivers. thanks.
