No sound when I use my PS2?

Anyone have any ideas about why there wouldn't be any sound when I use my ps2? The TV on the sound works fine, and there has been no sound on any game I've tried so far.

I'm going to go try playing a dvd or music cd on it and see if there is still no sound, but my hopes aren't very high. This is really making me mad.

Anyone who has a clue whats wrong or what I could try let me know.

Sometimes my PS2 loses sound, I just have to wiggle the A/V connector on the back of the system and it pops back in, doesn't happen often but that's always the cause for me.

Problem fixed, I had taken the cord out and plugged it back in originally before I posted and that didn't fix the problem but I messed with it some more and all of a sudden sound started to come out :D

This is the first time I've seen this happen, I hope my PS2 doesn't make a habit of it.

The proprietary A/V connector sucks ass. It's busted on my PS too.
