no sound!! VIA chipset

k7vza mobo, recently reformatted hard drive, i installed 4 in 1 drivers okay, but not pci audio, it said it wasn't enabled. bios? where in the bios? please help!
 
I thought that the audio was on the motherboard. DId you change anything in the bios or on the motherboard?

yeah, a few things, i was trhinking of loading the defaults, see what's different, except the bios calls it fail safe settings or something...
 
well guys, i'm off, i'll type in VIA in the search tomorrow to see what else u guys have suggested, thanx ahead of time, my aim is Shwaykid13 (bump)
 
The settings should be in "Itegrated Peripherals", you do have the manual, don't you? Read it.

Also, make sure that there isn't a jumper on the mobo that enables/disables sound.
