No sound through the headset?

Am calling people via my headset on voip, they can hear me okay, but their voice is being heard via the laptop and not through the headset. Any suggestions please on what to do.
 
Assuming Windows is the OS. Right click on the volume icon at the taskbar > click Playback devices. Check what are the default devices.
