No Sound out of TV Tuner Card

I got the Leadtek 2000TVXP TV Tuner card and it works good except for the fact that there is no sound from it. When i start the program it mutes my master volume for soem reason and i have to turn it back on to get sound from other programs. Anyone know what the trick is?
 
Make sure that there isn't an audio cable that needs to go to the sound card that needs hooking up, and then make sure that the volume under the "record" option in Windows volume control is checked for the appropriate input, and the volume is set somewhere in the middle. Also check the audio options for the TV program that you are using.
