No sound out of right-front speaker

I've got a set of Creative Inspire 5300 5.1s hooked up via Soundstorm and they've been workin pretty good. I say "been" cause about a week ago they started acting funny - I eventually lost all sound to the right-front speaker. The left, center and rear channels, as well as the sub, all function correctly, but I cannot get sound out of the right-front speaker. I didn't change a thing from when they were functioning correctly, so I have no idea what could be doing it. I'm contemplating getting a new set, but before I do, I want to be sure it's actually the speaker(s), and not soundstorm or the motherboard.
Note that the speaker itself works (if plugged into a different channel) and that any speaker plugged into the right-front channel produces no sound, so it's not the speakers themselves, but something with the sub that they all connect to (probably. I think).

Specs:
XP 1700+ @ 227x8
Abit NF7-S 2.0 v21 BIOS
Alpha 8045 & Antec 120mm
Enermax EG465P
Lian-Li PC60
512MB HyperX 3200 (2-2-2-6)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB->XT

yeah, it definitely sounds to me as if the amp (attached to the sub, right?) has failed. It seems like it's just not pushing anything to that channel anymore, which does happen. Unless you can go in there and solder something, you're probably going to have to get another set of speakers or return them.

If its a minijack (3.5mm) connector try either pushing the plug up or down in the socket.... or .......push the connector fully home and ssllloooowllly unplug as sometimes its just a faulty seat, tape in place if this is the prob with electrical tape or return if under warranty.

Or open up the dam thing and resolder any broken wires (test with a multi-meter for continuity) if not under warranty.

Yeah, I feared as much. I did open the sucker up, but Creative decided to make it damned near impossible to get in to where the connectors are at. They're RCA jacks, and no amount of wiggling did anything. They're 2 years old, and Creative's warranty is 12 months, so apparently I just gotta get a new set. Thanks for the input, guys.

Found the problem, fellas....A jumper fell off my MB and I didn't realize it until I went to plug in my headphones....I saw it lying on the modem I have installed and figured it wasn't a good thing to see it there. Put it back in its spot, and I have sound back!
