No sound in my headphones from the new cd-rw I just installed...

It's a mitsumi 4x4 write and rewrite... It burns just fine... but the sound does not cum out of the headphone jack in the front. The headphones work I use them on my cd player. My sound card works I know that. The cable is run from my soundcard to the cd-rw I just checked it. Anyone even have a clue. Anything would be appreciated right now!
