No sound, GA-P35-DS3l

I just built my system, and everything works great, except the integrated sound on my GA-P35-DS3L (xp home 32 bit). It does not even recognize any audio device. I tried installing all the drivers I could, but to no avail. apparently people have had problems with the audio but they seem to at least have it be recognized. any help?

I got it figured out. Apparently it thought it was an unkown pci device, so the drivers on the cd did not apply. I just manually updated the drivers and its all good.
