No sound from YouTube, Google video?

Looks like I'm not getting any sound from Flash animations and videos such as YouTube.com videos and Google Videos. I believe I have Macromedia Flash Player 8 installed, and I'm using FireFox 1.5.0.7. Anyone have any ideas or fixes?
 
Updated, uninstalled, installed and reinstalled many many times (even a firefox reinstall). No good. Problem persists on both IE and Firefox, and even saved .swf's on my computer do not have sound. Help?
