no sound from rear speakers

I know this sounds like a stupid question but my rear speakers in my FPS2000 system aren't outputting any sound at all.
This only happened after I shut off and rebooted my computer.
Anyway I'm at a loss of what to do, I've reinstalled the drivers for my sound card, and everything up to work with 4 speakers.

Anyway I'll leave you with my specs:
Windows XP Home
CSW FPS2000 Digital
Sound Blaster Audigy
 
did you set it to 4 speaker mode? sounds like it might have defaulted to stereo only (i.e. you need to enable the rear outs in software)
