No sound from my TV Tuner card :(

I get channels fine and all, but I get no sound whatsoever, and it really sucks. On the box it says it does not require a sound card, but in the help files, it says it needs one for the stereo sound. It is an AverTV Stereo Edition tuner. Is it because I'm using on board audio? Is it about time I upgrade to a full fledged sound card? Which one(Under $32 is my budget) do you reccomend? Any help would be appreciated.
 
did you try using the audio cable to plug from the TV Card Line-Out to the SoundCard Line-In?
then in the TV Tuner Software, make sure the sound is coming from Line-In...
