no sound from my HTPC connected to my LCD TV

Hi all I am really scratching my head over this problem, any help is greatly appreciated

I connect my HTPC to my samsung 37A550 (LCD tv) via hdmi (both ends are hdmi)
my vid card is nvidia GF9500GT.
I also connected a red and white audio cable to the TV, but no sound came out

First of all I am not sure that what I am doing is right. I dont think my vid card has hdmi audio, so I cannot use the hdmi to connect it to my TV? is that right?

Nevermind I needed to connect the internal SPDIF cable from the mobo to the vid card...

Hey u told that u have joined all cables properly so it mightbe work but if not working then there would be some another problem. One of my friend had also this type of problem but after being tired by all tries he called an engineer then he checked that the cable was not working properly. SO if u still facing any problem then u can called an engineer . I hope it will start before it.
