No sound from Audigy 2 ZS Platinum?

Need some suggestions here. I just installed the CL SB Audigy 2 ZS Platinum and am not getting any sound to my speakers from the rear jack. I've done the following:
> Disabled the onboard sound
> Checked cables, etc (tried all the rear output jacks).
> Verified that the firewire port on the SB PCI card works (i.e. - it's plugged in properly)
> The headphone jack works from the front hard ware (monted under DVD drive). I can hear system sounds, CD's etc through this jack.
> Uninstalled and re-installed software/drivers (updated drivers automatically through Creative Labs web)
> Checked volume/mute settings
> Checked hardware status
>shows SB is the active sound device, no apparent IRQ conflicts

I have an ABIT AV8 mobo, using XP Pro. I'm out of ideas at this point.

That's the fun in using creative, Far too many useless settings.
Try enable/disable digital out, depending on the speaker sysytem

I just installed my Audigy 2 ZS, & it wouldn't work till i figured out that i had to set the 5.1 as analog not digital in "Speaker Settings"
In other words, right click your taskbar icon & select Speaker Settings > de-select "Digital Output Only".

That worked for me.
