No sound device error message

I just turned my computer on this morning and tried to play an audio and I got this message in winamp:

No sound devices found. Please buy a soundcard first (or install proper drivers if you think that you have one).

Windows error message:
"A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system."

I didnt install anything recently and I cant play any audio. Any suggestions? thanks.

Try re-installing your sound card drivers. That may help.

nevermind i just restarted my computer and it worked. weird..

probably didn't load the driver correctly.
