Help!!

I've already reinstalled the drivers twice.... nothing.

I've tried plugging into all the different outputs.... nothing.

I checked the jumpers for the front-panel audio, they are all there!!

I installed BIOS V.1006 last night... still not working!!

No. ;) I updated the chipset drivers last night as well, and installed the audio drivers again... still no luck.

Perhaps you have a stray standoff in the location circled in this image. Some mobos have a hole there, some don't.

Yours doesn't. So if there were a standoff in the case in that location, it could short stuff out on the mobo's underside. And your mobo's audio circuitry is smack dab in that location.

/ long shot

Interesting info.... but nope.... I put all the spacers in myself to coincide with the motherboard.

I'm using WinXP Pro.... when I was installing the audio drivers from the disk, it said it "has not passed the Windows Certification Test" or something like that.... I clicked "Continue installation"...

Are there updated drivers available? When I went on Asus' website all I could find were the 64-bit Windows versions...
