I just got my bro a gigabyte 260 gtx to go with an EVGA 260 gtx (the're both the 192 models).

We can't get the SLI option to show up. Both cards show up in physics and the control panel.

We've tried:

3 sets drivers
3 bridges forwards and backwards both sets of tabs
updated mobo bios
reseated cards

here's his specs

win7 64bit
asus sabertooth P67
850 watt Antec
16 gigs ram

Anyone have any tips on this one?

Thanks

I would definitely install the latest bios update.

When windows gets the flag from the bios, you actually see a liitl prompt in the taskbar telling you sli is now possible.
You then have to go in to the NV panel and enable sli

Windows/drivers are not getting that flag from your hardware, probably the motherboard.

Some have updated the realtek drivers for network and sound and found those had effected pci-e slots , somehow.
First SLI did not appear, and then after updating it did.
Try updating everything from the Asus m/b site for your board/windows version.

Go into device manager and check each card and see if they are using the same driver version.

I had this same exact issue 2 weeks ago when i built a computer for a friend. We were trying to SLI 2 GTX 460's on the same mobo and it didnt work. We tried all bios options available for download from the Asus site and none worked, we swaped out the mobo for a gigabyte model and now everything is working fine. Asus must have forgotton to add the SLI bios string to this particular model of motherboard.
