Is it bad to stay up all night, say, 2 or 3 times a week? It isn't going to shorten my life or anything is it? Just curious .. I don't know anyone who does that ...

I guess I am going to die young. :( I wish the article ended after the first paragraph:

THE FINDINGS, to be presented this week at the annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies, come on the heels of a controversial study published in February that suggested that people who sleep less than the recommended eight hours may live longer.

Oh well, interesting reading all the same. I never know what to believe with all those conflicting studies.

Don't worry, I'm not jumping to any conclusions. When I say I never know what to believe with all those conflicting studies, what I really mean is that I don't pay much attention to them and just believe whatever I feel like.

This sounds like a bunch of crap. You sleep 6 hours, you die! You sleep 9 hours you die! But 8 is juuuuust right. COME ON!

I like how the made the comparison to sleeping less then 8 hours a day is as detrimental to your health as smoking! And sleeping more then 8 hours is even more dangerous. Well I'm fuked then. I love to sleep :)
