Yeah so it's now 3:10am and I cannot sleep cause my tooth is bugging me. I think I need to go to the dentist if its not gone within a day or so. If I put pressure on it in the wrong way, it hurts. Not killing pain but very uncomfortable. So basically if i close my mouth it hurts. Argh.

Just took some Motrin, doubt that'll do anything.

I also got a class in like 5 hours.

If I am lucky, this is cause I ate too many winegums today. If you've had them, you know they are extremly chewy and hard and I think I might've given my teeth/gums too much of a workout cause it started shortly after that. I'm REALLY hoping this is it cause this happened to me once before after eating some jerky and it went away in a couple days. I guess I never learn

The thing that bugs me is I think it's the tooth I had a root canal done on last summer. Which makes no sense, cause all the nerves were removed from the tooth. The tooth is essentially dead...how can there be another infection?

I'm not afraid of the dentist (it doesn't hurt at all) but it's just a pain in the ass and it costs money. Just when everything in my life seemed to be going well, somethin has gotta happen. :frown:

yeah so looks like I am not sleeping...hopefully ATOT can entertain my whining ass. i'll have a wahburger with an order of french cries please!

same problem here, major tootache on at least five teeth!!! ... except that I have to work tomorrow. Well, it looks like i have to call in sick! The last time I saw a dentist was like 7 years ago.

i took two tylenol - no worky
then i took two advil - also no worky ...

herm .. 4 1/2 hrs before i call work and another hour after that before i can see a dentist, that assuming the first dentist i call is available.

Just because there's no nerve doesn't mean you can't get an infection.

That's like saying because you have no feeling in your arm it can't get infected. Right after I had a root canal done (because of an absessed (sp?) tooth) it got infected. Sounds like the same thing you're describing. Tooth didn't hurt too bad, just uncomfortable when I bit done on something. Could feel that something wasn't right pretty much the whole time. Anyway, the dentist gave me a little bottle of pills and I was fine.

Yzzim so you didn't need any more work done on your teeth, just an anti-biotic? I had some penicillin last time before i got the root canal.

Anyway, I just woke up and the sharp pain is gone...just a little sore. I think it's cause of what I ate

But like I said, if it's not gone tomorrow I will go to my dentist. I left my last one wayyyy too long and suffered the worst pain of my life all because of one tooth (not the actual dental prodecure, the toothache before).

A really, really chewy jube jube is the best way to describe them. My fav candy but I'm not longer eating them now!!!

Yup, some pills for about 2 weeks cured the infection.

Glad to hear you're feeling better 🙂
