I have a Galaxy S5 and use page plus for service. I live in a rural area with very low signal, a lot of times I have signal.

What I notice is that when I go to an area I know has good signal, the phone doesn't pick up the signal unless I reboot it.

This happened with my S3 as well.

I contacted page plus and they said that 4g phones have to be rebooted to pick up signal. Seems odd to me.

Does anyone know about this and can tell me anything I can do, like some setting on the phone to make it find signal when it's there instead of rebooting?

Rather than reboot, try turning airplane mode on and then back off. It should hopefully pickup the signal

Thanks for this. I lose network every so often, and always rebooted. I never thought to cycle airplane mode. Much more convenient :^)
