No Signal???

I have a Linksys Wireless Router (BEFW11S4) firmware ver 1.44.2z, Dec 13 2002 (latest firmware I could find) that worked for about 3 hour & after that I could not get a signal from it with either of my notebooks.

I have it hardwired with my desktop & I am able to surf on my desktop but no signal for wireless network.

I also have the wireless enabled in the setup of the router as well as the SSID is broadcasting with no security enabled.

Any help deeply appreciated.

Hard reset the router (hold in the reset button on the back until all of the lights on the front flash) then unplug power to the router and let it sit for about a minute and plug it back in. Log in to the router to confirm wireless broadcast is enabled. Assuming that you didn't disable the wireless adapters on both of your laptops and that there isn't something actively interfering with the signal such as a 2.4Ghz cordless phone and that the laptops are in range of the router's broadcast, it should work at that point unless the wireless radio in the router as failed. If that is the case, there's not much else you can do besides replace the router.
