Well just finished a new build
E8400,p35-ds3l,wd500aaks,samsung 232 dvd drive,antec ea500d,bfg 9800gtx oc
I have a lcd monitor but it only has a vga coonector on the back.I use the dvi to vga connector which came with my new video card.I tried both dvi ports on the back of the card and I get a no signal black screen from my 17 inch monitor.
However if I plug it into my 720p 32inch hdtv i get signal.I can then unplug the vga connector from my tv and coonect it to my lcd 17inch monitor and I will have video.
This stuff is weird and I would like to be able to just turn on my pc and be able to go from there instead of having to to hook it up to the tv.If anyone can help me solve this problem I'll appreciate it thanks
