"NO SIGNAL" but actually connected? What's wrong here?

Got a new laptop with built in WiFi. The network connection icon on the task bar says "NO SIGNAL" (and is confirmed by the control panel when i click on the icon), but the kicker is that I have a full, speedy connection? It's a minor problem I guess, but I want everything to be running smoothly before my return period is over.

Any ideas on what to do?

Thanks!

This indication is done by software, thus could be that the hardware works OK, but there is probably a fluke in the WLAN Reporting Utility.

Check the manufacture?s site for the latest version of the WLAN Util.
