damnit! friesen, shields, AND draft picks for one guy.
jeff friesen was like the major reason i watched hockey. Lombardi was pressed to make a move, but damnit did you have to give up the goalie that has playoff experience and a guy that's been with the sharks since he was 17?! now our backup is a guy that spent the entire season in the minors.
and for what? selanne? he can score but that's about it. arrrrrgh! At least if we were gonna get Selanne through next year then give draft picks, maybe a few guys in the farm system. He shows up and he's automatically the highest paid guy on the team, even though anaheim is gonna pay about half his salary.
i admit the sharks have been sucking it lately but GEEZ! just get rid of the guys that are so recognizable with your team! argh!
this bites for me because the last time he threatened to trade friesen, hate mail started pouring in and he stopped. NO rumors were given and now this bomb is dropped. I've been watching Friesen play for his entire career and how he's a crappy duck.
