My mouse broke so I had to resort to an old 2 button mouse. This sucks! I keep trying to use the scroll function. Is there some way I can push both buttons down and have it scroll that way? Until I can buty a new one?

hehe I had the same problem before... my mouse at the office has a scroll wheel, but I was still using an old 2-button mouse at home... I kept trying to use the scroll wheel when I got home... I finally broke down and bought an optical wheel mouse after a while...

i seem to remember some old software doing that. too bad you don't have a third or else you'd be able to set it to autoscroll.. like when you push in the wheel button.

heh i have like 10 wheel mice of all sorts :) i'll never have that problem:)

I wouldn't use the scroll wheel even if my mouse had it, lol.

I have a 3 button mouse, no scroll wheel.. but if you push the middle button.. it gives you some weird arrow cursor thing, and moving the mouse will scroll.

I don't ever use it, I find it annoying.. It's too jerky.

What, do you have to save up the $15 or something?

Um where do you go to buy a good mouse at midnight?

Oh, come on.. Everybody knows there are plenty of 24 hour computer stores. The're even open on sunday!

:p

I'd be lost without my scroll wheel. I use it all the time.

The cruise control on the MX500 is pretty sweet, too. I've got the speed set really high so I can jump down long pages really quickly.

i'm at home for the weekend (go to univ. of Michigan) ...same problem... i think there IS some program/driver out there that'll let you simulate the scroll by holding both buttons down (logitech i believe)

much as i like the scroll buttons next to the wheel of my mx500, i'd like to inform you of these two buttons on your keyboard labled "home" and "end"

A good alternative to a scroll wheel is the space bar (and shift-space).

Wall-Mart is open 24/7 and they even have MS Optical Mous for $30 or so :)

In the meantime you can always use SPACE bar to scroll one page down and SHIFT-SPACE to scroll one page up. Good old PageUp and PageDown work very well for reading AT too :)
