No saves? WTF do you mean, NO SAVES?

Unbelieveable. Firstly, I'm the only person on this board playing IGI-2. I know that.

Secondly, after more than 6 weeks, I've beat the game on Easy and Normal (no cheating!!!!). Easy, you can save 5 times per level. Normal, three times...I figure on Hard, once.

*buzzer* Wrong. NONE. NO SAVES. WTF? On top of that, the enemy AI does NOT miss. A guy with a 9mm Markarov pistol can hit you in the head from across the field, 100 yards away....on easy, they miss with the RPG. 😛

Just thought I'd relay my disappointment at this major suckage. Thanks.

What's IGI-2 😱

Thanks MichaelD, looks like fun, maybe I'll pick it up after I finish DF: BHD 🙂

It's a very good game. It's got Metal Gear Solid type elements; cameras, sneaking quietly as well as shooter elements...cool weapons. The game is not as easy as some think; a straight shooter it's not. Try that and you be dead, even if you are a seasoned FPS player.

On each level, you're given Objectives; Free this hostage, open this gate, send this radio transmission, kill this dude, etc. A lot of fun!

I have this game and for some reason, I never got into it.

How far did you get? It can be frustrating, especially the Border Crossing level...I almost quit at that level. Glad I didn't. The Libya levels rock! You get to shoot a .30 cal from a helicopter and kill the little people on the ground! Wheeee!

How is the LAN play? I was hesitant to pick this game up after reading the less than stellar reviews. But if the multiplayer portion is fun, I would consider it.

That's exactly why I would want to pick it up MichaelD, I loved MGS 🙂

You have to shoot the cameras out...if they see you, the alarm goes off...you don't want that.

At the end of each level (assuming you complete it 😛) You're given your stats. There's a set standard you're expected to meet and you're assigned a rank.

I have not yet played online...yes, I'm embarrassed about that. The LAN/online is supposed to be pretty darn good. I'll bet this game would ROCK on a fast server at a LAN. 😀

Interesting. My friends and I are looking forward to getting in some quality Raven Shield LAN action, but we might have to check this game out too. The LAN play has been getting a little stale lately, maybe this will help pick things up a bit.

I can only beat games I truely enjoy more than once. I always play a game all the way through on Normal, but 'Hard' is basically the same missions replayed with more frusteration 😀

I agree. But there is some measure of satisfaction from beating a level the second time around with no saves, whereas the first time, you needed three. 😱
