No rear speaker sound with audigy 2

I just upgraded from a SB live to an Audigy 2 card, and now the rear speakers on the Boston digital 7500 4.1 system i've got hooked in to it doesn't work. I.e. i've only got sound from the front and the sub. But when I test the speakers with creatives software, I get the test sound from my rear speakers just like I'm supposed to.

I have the front and the sub connected to the digital minijack, and the rear to the 2:nd analog output, and I was thinking that maybe I shouldn't mix digital and analog output, but this setup worked just fine with the SB live card, and as I said I do get the test sounds at least. If anyone knows how to solve this I'll be very grateful.

Btw. when I enable CMSS 3D audio in the eax panel, I suddenly get audio from all the speakers...but I'd rather not do that since the sound quality suffers.

I believe that's the only way it's going to work.

Besides getting an analog cable to connect the front speakers and sub you mean .....

Can I get any kind of stereoplug to connect to the analog outputs on the audigy or does it have to be some special cable?

I would reinstall the drivers and update them first.
Then setup your speakers.
Check that digital only is not checked. Also check sync with control panel and check that box.
Is 4.1 properly selected. Try 5.1 and see what happens.
I generally found that I had to reinstall the drivers when it went out of whack. The updates take care of most problems.

If you had the old SB Live drivers in there before you installed the new ones, it will cause problems. I went through it with mine.
I did a fresh reinstall and it worked.

You can get a triangle adapter, it should have come with your speakers. Two minijacks in, one out.

I think stereo music always sounds best in stereo and unmixing to 5.1 will effect sound quality. You can use foobar to play music and use its 4 speaker stereo x 2 option.

When your talking about a fresh install does that include going through the registry deleting anything related to creative?

But if I do that I loose the surround and eax capabilities, dont I? I mean the sound coming from the rear will only be a duplicate of the sound going to the front.

If I get a simple analog stereo cable (I have analog as well as digital out on the back of my sub for the front speakers) shouldn't that solve my problems? (In case nothing else works)
