The mods changed my post in Off Topic from:

Harrods Christmas light F** OFF HARRODS message goes viral on Twitter

to

Harrods Christmas light ____ OFF HARRODS message goes viral on Twitter

If you google for "Harrods Christmas light F** OFF HARRODS message goes viral on Twitter", you'll see dozen's of websites reporting the incident exactly as listed. I posted the info exactly as listed and wasn't trying to use profanity.

By changing the topic, the post topic makes no sense now, it's like watching Snakes on a Plane on TBS where they changed the famous line by Samuel L. Jackson to "I AM TIRED OF THESE MONKEY FIGHTING SNAKES ON THIS MONDAY TO FRIDAY PLANE!!!" , absolutely retarded.

I see profanity used all the time within posts, if your going to give someone a warning about using profanity in a title, you should give the users who use profanity within the post as well.

Also, "the rules" are no where to be found in Off Topic.

That's all i got to say about that.

OK guys, OP gets the answer. The rest is just flogging the dead horse.

6) Foul language in topic titles, summaries or sigs and excessive foul language is not permitted. With uncensored language comes an increased requirement for responsibility among users. Moderator discretion applies.

From AnandTech Forum Guidelines located at the top of PFI.

It amazes me you were able to find the "NEW TOPIC" button... but not see the "FORUM GUIDELINES" post 4 inches below it.

Most forums have their Guidelines listed in a "forum issues" section... no need for it to be in EVERY forum.

Yup.
And just so you guys know, if we keep abusing it we will lose it.
Already heard a couple mods grumbling about profanity being overused. They only let us have it with the assumption we would use it like adults. Once is a great while to convey extreme emotion.

It amazes me that usually the people that complain about these kinds of things are the ones that have been posting for years and have had plenty of chances to learn the rules. This has not been a rule that has been enforced hapharzardly.
