Hey guys after replacing a video card i now get no power to the computer if the 4 pin cpu plug is connected. It comes on for a spit second and goes off.
If I leave the 4 pin unplugged everything powers up fine but of course there is no post.
I've tried reseating the CPU and plugged in an old 6600gt to see if the PCI E power was the problem but still get the same result.
It is an Ultra X-connect 500W PSU. I had been running a 5000+ BE, 4850, X-fi, 2 HDD's, 2 DVD's and about 4 fans with no problem. Swapped the 4850 with both a 9600gso and a 6600gt and I can't get power with nothing but the cards and the mobo plugged in...
any ideas?
