Setup: ( All Items are used and worked for previous persons)

Asus P5W DH Deluxe
E6300 w/ Stock HSF for now
Ultra Xfinity 500W PS
Old PCI vid card (known working)
2x1G Kingston Value RAM DDR2 800 KVR800D2N5/1G

Turn on PS, get green LED on mobo. Hit power button, fans come on but no video.

Both PS connectors are connected. Reseated RAM into various positions, various combinations of 1 only. Reseated Vid Card. Went to old PCI card from a PCI-E card. Reseated CPU. Cleared RTC. Reseated CPU and HSF. Everything is assembled outside of the case to eliminate shorting issues.

Open to any and all ideas.. call me an idiot for overlooking X.. I don't mind 😛

you had been using a PCI vid card? no harm in putting both that and the new one. boot from PCI and see if your other card will show up in windows. That will let you know if your new card at least works.

w00t.. so i moved the pci vid card to another slot and it POST'd! I put in the PCI-E card and it worked too. I did notice the last mem setup was in different slots than what i was trying before..
