No POST when RAID card inserted

I'm trying to build a RAID array using a promise SX6000 IDE RAID 5 card. My motherboard is an Asus A7V600 with an XP 2500+ CPU and half a gig of Crucial RAM.

My machine boots up just fine...until I put the RAID card in. When I have the RAID card installed (have tried a couple of different slots and have tried it in a different PC) the machine doesn't even post and the MB gives a single long beep followed by three short beeps. That error code looks like its supposed to be video card or memory from what I've seen on the net.

As soon as I pull out the card, it boots up fine again.

Logic will tell you that the card is faulty.

Have you installed a stick of ram on the card?

Yes..I have 128MB stickof Crucial PC133 RAM installed on the card. And the card has status lights on the back that show the status as 1001 (which says that the card is functioning normally).
