1. Long story very short: I built a system, it ran fine for nearly 5 or 6 months.

2. The PS died and the system would not boot, I RMA'd the PS.

3. New PS installed, powers on but no Post, a chip on the mobo goes 'pop' and smoke oozes out so I RMA the Mobo.

4. New Mobo, new PS installed, powers on but no post. I test without anything connected except for the PS, Mobo, and CPU in order to hopefully get Beep codes requesting memory proving the CPU didn't fry as well. No beep codes... so I order another CPU.

5. NEW ANTEC POWER SUPPLY. NEW MSI MOTHERBOARD. NEW AMD ATHLON64 4000+. NO... BEEP... CODES...

I am at my wit's end... the only solution I can come up with is either Antec sent me ANOTHER faulty PS or MSI sent me a faulty mobo. I'm wagering money on this PS being crap as well and having taken out my past mobo... there more than likely was nothing wrong with it.

What I want to know is before I can get my hands on another PS to test this (only have 20 pin ATX connectors in the house atm) can ANYONE think of ANYTHING else that I may be missing.

I've tried the mobo outside of the case to make sure it's not grounding... I've tried the system with one stick of ram, with the other stick of ram... with no ram... with everything connected and with nothing connected...

I get nothing. For the love of God... someone have mercy on my soul

system specs are:

MSI K8N Neo4-F Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4
eVGA GeForce 7800GT 256MB
OCZ 2GB
WD Caviar SE16 250GB SATA
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 7.1
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego 2.4GHz Socket 939
