I have problem with my MSI Neo Platinum K8N computer (the original S754 A64). I came back one day from work to find my computer non-function. The computer was very hot, I turned it off and cool off. However, since then it is not posting and according to the MSI D Bracket is hanging on "Initializing Keyboard Controller". The 3rd light is green rest of the 3 are red. I DO think the PS/2 Keyboard Controller is broken, my PS2 keyboard hasn't been working in PS/2 port for awhile now. I have using through USB. However, computer did boot just fine. Can/why would just Keyboard Controller stop the entire MB from posting?
So far I have tried the following and it has NOT fixed the problem:
1) Clear CMOS with jumper JBAT1
2) Clear CMOS settings by removing battery
3) Changing the video to card to one that works.
Any help how to get it working would be extremely helpful!
Another related question is how to recover data from fake Nvraid. I have Raid 0 with my OS and data using my on board Nvida Raid. Now that my MB won't post I can access the data. Is there any easy to access the Nvida Raid drives on another computer? I do not have other computer/MB that support Nvraid but they support fake raid, their own variety. Will it recognize the nvraid if I plug it in?
System Spec:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Newcastle S754 (not overclocked)
MSI K8N Neo Platinum S754
Ram: 1x 1GB + 1x 512 GB Corsair Value Select DDR400
GPU: Nvida Geforce4 440mx (I removed the ATI x850 pro that in there)
HD: 2x 500 gb Nvraid 0, x1 500gb, 1x 250gb, 1x120 gb (all Seagates)
PSU: Antec 430w Earthwatts
