Japanese send up a new bot that'll help monitor some of the functions of ISS. If this was a movie, I would expect the astronauts to be hostile to the bot but in the end it sacrifices itself to save them.

No one's job is safe? How about the job that sells, makes, designs, and consults other companies on robots? Or are robots going to start doing powerpoint presentations and selling to CEOs as well? Hehe

Well, when the CEOs become robots, who better to sell robots to robots than a robot?

Jobs will simply just change. It's happened before, it will happen again. And again. And again.

If there was ever a job that should be done by robots, it is astronaut. Should people go into into space? Hell, yes, but as tourists, as explorers, to see with our own eyes. Should people go into space to do mundane crap in space like run a space station just to demonstrate that people can do boring crap in space? Nope.

I usually don't wish for jobs to be replaced but from that video posted just above mine, I can't wait for bartenders to be replaced.

And why do I wish for such a thing?

Because we in America are stupid and think certain people deserve tips for doing their job.

So I will be glad to see them go and any other job where it is etiquette to tip the worker each and every time.

**** tips

Part of the ISS mission is to see the effects of low gravity on humans over long time frames. We can't send robots for that.
