I find that even at 1600x1200x32 using FSAA makes games look better. But, the performance hit it much too great. Even on my tbird1.4 w/ Geforce3 system, when I turn on FSAA (quincunx or fsaa2x), my framerates drop too low. I had heard that the GF3TI500 was supposed to handle fsaa differently from a regular GF3 so that there would be less of a performance hit. Is this true. I would love to run games at 1600x1200x32 with FSAA. In fact I think that FSAA is still the most important recent new feature that video cards have. 3dfx really knew what they were doing with fsaa. At the time of my voodoo5 I could run games at 1280x1024 with 2xfsaa smoothly and it made a huge difference in visual quality. Now I'm spoiled by running at 1600x1200 and don't want to lower my resolution to 1280x1024 just to keep the framerates up. I wonder how the radeon will do fsaa.
