No one seems to know... How to Sync in 2k with network drives to D: ???

I am syncing my Win2k laptop users home directories on the server with their laptops, so they have "all" their files with them on the road, which is great (compared to that stupid PoS Briefcase in 9x). Problem is, I want to put the files, called "offline folders" by MSoft, somewhere in D: instead of C: because some users have tons of files and I would have to repartition to fit it. How do I do this??? Reg-hack or somethin? I just can't seem to find it and no one could help me in the "less technical" forums...
