I've got NOLF2 installed on my Windows 7 box and it hangs at the loading screen every time. Anyone know what compatibility settings I have to put? Has anyone gotten it to work at all?

Windows 7 RTM 64bit
E5200 @3.3ghz
4gig ram
HD4870 1GB with cat 9.3
Xfi XtremeMusic

Sorry.
I got it working just fine under Windows XP and I'm not anxious to game on Vista or Windows 7 yet.
If the winxp compatibility doesnt work then I think you are in trouble.

Along those lines, you should probably do a dual boot just for situations like this, especially because Windows 7 isnt official yet.

Hey, I can't say this is definitely it, but I've literally had to do this for 3 games now since installing Windows 7. It's something with DLL's. It makes all of your games kind of hang on the splash screen so to speak. Hope it works for you: check it

Thanks, I tried it but no luck. It doesn't freeze on the game screen. NOLF2 executes the menu screen application first and then when the game actually starts, execurtes a 2nd application, the actual lithtech engine itself. It's the load menu that I freeze at, aka the transition from NOLF2.eve to lithtech.exe.

I'm just assuming lithtech 2.5 just doesn't work in Windows 7. Seems like there were problems running NOLF2 during Win Vista RTM (64bit only) also, but those cleared up after Win Vista came out.

Sorry. Did you try operating as an admin and choosing "run as if it were Vista" or whatever the choice is................?

I find W7 to be simply awesome already as it is. But I've had to do that for a few applications as well.
