this f*cking sucks. I'm tired of wild goose chases and coming up empty handed. I'm getting tired of sitting around also.

Try sitting around for 5 months. Luckily, I have an out of state interview on Monday.

I'm trying to get out of my current job working retail. The pay isn't too bad, but there is no room for growth. And I have dreams of one day owning a 360 modena....ain't gonna happen making 40 grand a year.

My company is hiring call agents like crazy. Of course, tele-marketing is dirty business but we're expanding like whoa!

It's all about who you know. My company was hiring and nobody applied. One of the other managers had friends in a church group. No knowledge of wireless devices whatsoever, but was hired on the spot and trained the same day.

I dunno, some people in my family said they'd do something for me but I haven't heard back and it's been like 2 months. I'm a recent grad from EE.

My roommate who graduated with an electrical engineering degree has been jobless for almost a year.

Companies are hiring but they're looking for specifics. Now with this economy, companies can either lowball you or find the brightest and the best for a gimp job that they have available.

I'll have TWO jobs this summer. One at the audio company, one as a patent consultant for a major legal case...

Some people, Republicans, think the economy is just fine. Their reasoning: I've been through worst times than this. So just because they've seen worst times, they think this is nothing. Well, they're old so they have money saved up and they're high enough in the latter to where they probably won't get laid off so they can say it. Its the young Republicans who are agreeing with this reasoning that I'm worried about.

They'll continue to vote for BUSH even though he's done virtually nothing for the economy. The worst thing is they keep on saying: What, you think a democrat would have made a difference? Well, I would sure like the chance to find out. We've got nothing to lose now.

Me, not claiming party affiliation, but definitely not claiming Republican.

You actually believe it matters who's in the White House? The economy has very little if anything to do with the president..

Sersiously...that's me too. Only second year but i'm sticking with it.

But did you guys ever do internships or have outside experience before looking for a full time job? That probably helps quite a bit

I just graduated with a degree in Computer Science. Only 3 interviews so far (over a period of 2 semesters) and no second interviews. It's all about whom you know. I don't know anyone, so I guess I can't do anything about it.

I dunno, some republicans drum too often about how reaganomics fixed a bad carter economic hangover. You can't have it both ways.

At anyrate, Bush doesn't seem terribly concerned on taking action on the economy. I agree it's not his fault, but he's not really doing anything to help either.
