NO ONBOARD SOUND?

I went in my case and unplugged the cords that lead from the front of the case to the audio on the motherboard. Those cords SHOULD only affect the front of the case, correct?

For some reason now that they are unplugged, the onboard sound doesn't work on my motherboard. I just reinstalled my audio drivers.

I am completely baffled, please, someone, help.

Thanks in advance,
Tyler

If you just reinstalled your audio drivers, something could be wrong with the motherboard. (or like vanvock said, look at the jumper settings)

Sadly, I left my manual at home (I'm at school now).
I find that odd though, it was literally working just before I unplugged the cords... any more ideas?

you need to put the jumpers back on after you unplugged the wires from the front panel. Go download user's manual from DFI's website, it should tell you exactly where to set the jumpers.
