No network upon win7 startup

I've been using win7 rtm 64b for a couple weeks now and recently after starting the computer the network/internet is down. I cant even login to my router at all, everything is dead. After restarting the pc everything works fine again, but if i have to restart windows for whatever reason the network goes down again and have to restart another time... this simply doesn't make any sense. Any idea on what's causing this?

Try this. Turn off the computer, unplug the power, then uplug the network cable. Then do that in reverse (plug in ethernet cable, then power, the turn on machine). See if that makes a difference with anything.

Did your network drivers come with W7 or did you have to find them and manually install them? I've noticed that sometimes W7 will drop my Ralink drivers and replace them with a generic W7 one, and that's caused problems for me.

I think i figured it out, i lowered the pcie frequency in the bios by 1mhz and now when i get into windows my network is there. I remember messing with that couple weeks ago trying to fix my asus p5b x1 link bandwidth issue, but never have i expected this kind of side effect.
