No Name Brand USB Cables

HI All

I was really amazed that my new printer didnt come with a usb 2.0 cable. I was even more amazed when I went to a couple of reatailers and found prices for a 6ft cable around 15 to 20 bucks. Hell, i bought the printer for about 10 bucks after rebate. I called around my town and finally found a big electronic wholesaler. They sell a usb 2.0 cable manufactured(probably imported from China) by a company called cables unlimited.
I did a search and they come up on the web. The cable they sell is 2.50. Any of u guys familiar with their stuff?

If the company meets the USB 2.0 spec, I'm sure it will be fine. Retail USB cables are wwwaaayyy over priced. $2.50 actually sounds fair.

If you want to get something more reputable, try checking a local Costco. I found a 4-pack of USB cables for about $7-8 there a couple of months ago. Otherwise, any USB 2.0 cable should be fine, name brand or not.
