Does ANYONE know a good source (online) for HIGH QUALITY MPC3 Audio cables ( e.g., to interface between a DVD-ROM and the PC's sound card).

I'm so tired of the high-pitched whining sound and "whirrrrrr" that one gets with those thin, unshielded cables that are "all over the place". Dell used (in a system I bought 3 years ago), nice THICK and SHIELDED audio cables and THAT system exhibits almost NO
whirring or whining due to EMI or EMF.

Please let me know........if you know where to get some good ones. Thanks

Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.

Click plus sign on CD/DVD-ROM/RW. Right-click device -> Properties -> Select Properties tab.

Check box in "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device".

you're using a live! and are worried about sound quality problems? I have a suggestion... get a better card, they'll come with a decent audio cable, and you'll get rid of those stupid Live! noise problems
